April 22, 2008Playray continues its internationalization and goes to Turkey
Company also revises its management structure
Apaja continues its fast internationalization by opening Playray next in Turkey. Apaja's Playray service will be opened in co-operation with a major Turkish portal operator Internethaber. Turkey is already the 15th country to have its own localized version of Playray. Playray services gather now 2.5 million unique users per month (source: Google Analytics).
The company has also revised its management structure. Founder of the company, Asmo Halinen, has been named to act from now-on as a Vice President, Service & Marketing. To support strong international growth, Apaja has recruited Tiina Zilliacus to the company as an Executive Vice President, Acting CEO. Before Apaja she has been launching Nokia's B2C e-commerce operations in Europe and worked several years in different roles for Sonera Zed.
